Subject Taught and Thesis Supervision
A performing arts and communication lecturer and practitioner experienced in improving teaching and designing of academic programmes anchored in theoretical and practical relevance to the growing importance of digital presence of performing artists complementing their professional practice in entertainment, not only to build professional skills of entertainers and artists, as well as to achieve their goals in sustaining employability in the diverse media marketplace.
Formulated and implemented Malaysia's only entertainment arts academic programme aiming at training and grooming Malaysia's next wave of entertainers and celebrities who can sustain in the ever challenging performing arts and media industry.
Initiated the programme to disseminate knowledge and introduce Malaysian performing arts to Chinese-speaking societies in Asia, namely Taiwan, Hong Kong and China, through online network magazine Theatrex Asia (http://www.theatrex.asia), as roaming critic and academic resident in different fringe festivals in these cities.
Back in Singapore since 2017, from teaching, managing and establishing collaborative agreements with UK universities in their transnational education activities, he has successfully managed and established and implemented academic programmes with the following higher education institutions:
